3rd partial Blog assignment # 2

Saint-Pierre-à-Arnes' Like a perfection of thought...

"Saint..." is commonly classified as a punk rock band, or alternative rock band, but they are way more than that.
Combining influences that go from shoegazing, dream pop, ska, reggae to nu metal, rapcore and thrash metal, Saint-Pierre-à-Arnes is a bizzare bird.
They ccombine Rage Against the Machine's political passion with Slipknot-like wave of un controlled noise.
Their are like no other band emerging from the underground. There is no time for whining or crying for this guys, no emo influences. This band is more like a reaction to the apathy of a whole generation, who worships black eyelinner and thight jeans more than a human life. This guys attitude toward emo is the same grunge had toward glam metal.
But the guys aren't fools. They know that if they want their message to be spred, they have to calm things down a few times, and add a hook or two now and then. This guys don't want to be the next blink-182, but they know that the underground scene have a lot of limits, both politically and musically.
"Like a perfection of thought" is the debut album by Saint-Pierre-à-Arnes, and a brilliant one. I would dare to say that it's in the same level as The Sex Pistols' "
Never Mind the Bollocks" or Rage Against the Machine's debut album.
